Black Onyx Bracelet: Gatsby’s Garden

Origin

I envisioned this bracelet as something discovered at an evening gathering in a grand Art Deco garden — the kind of night where champagne glasses sparkle under lantern light and music drifts softly across marble terraces.

At the center rests a dramatic cut of Black Onyx, its deep midnight surface polished smooth and mysterious. The geometric shape feels unmistakably Art Deco, echoing the bold glamour and confident elegance of the Roaring Twenties.

Surrounding the onyx are luminous Mother-of-Pearl shell petals that glow softly like pale garden blossoms under moonlight. Their creamy iridescence creates a beautiful contrast against the darkness of the stone.

Above the central stone sits a brilliant crystal that catches light in flashes of gold, green, and champagne tones — like a chandelier reflecting across the room during a midnight celebration.

I shaped the gold so that it flows gracefully around the stones while the silver structure creates the elegant arc of the bracelet. The movement of the lines feels almost architectural, like the sweeping curves and symmetry found in vintage Gatsby-era design.
